The Gorillas are puttin' on a show, Kids!

My speech to the band five weeks ago at rehearsal:

"All right, now, Gorillas. Simmer down, and listen to me. Tomorrow morning, we're gonna start a show. A real hum dinger of a show! Only that kind of show don't come cheap, see? You mugs are gonna rehearse for five weeks and we're gonna open at Roxy & Duke's on scheduled time. (I point forcefully at my bandmates) - And I mean scheduled time. You're gonna work and sweat and work some more. You're gonna work days and you're gonna work nights. And you're gonna work between time when I think you need it. You're gonna dance until your feet fall off and you're not able to stand up any longer. BUT five weeks from now, we're going to have a show! Now, some of you Gorillas have been with me before (A knowing glance at Crusher). You know it's gonna be a tough grind. (I pound the table for effect. Did I not mention there was a table? There was a table.) It's gonna be the toughest five weeks that you ever lived through. Do you all get that? Now anybody who doesn't think he's gonna like it had better quit right now (I glare at Eddie). What do I hear? Nobody? ( Jim starts for the door) Jim! Sit yer fanny down and stop all that rigermarol. Good. Then that's settled. We start tomorrow morning. Any questions? Stu? (I sigh in disgust) Yes. There will be cake. (A cheer goes up in the rehearsal room)"
